I am a self-taught artist who grew up in a creative family.

“On stormy nights when the power went out, candles were lit, and the family would congregate around the dining room table and draw.”

My parents were professional artists who encouraged me to find and forge my unique artistic and creative skills.

Each family member had their creative strengths. My mum created horse art in various mediums from wood carvings to ink drawings, my dad painted landscapes, my sisters experimented in different mediums, the youngest is a professional photographer, another sister is an amazing realistic flower painter and the eldest was a dj.

I was surrounded by such diverse creativity it opened my mind to the possibilities of imagination and seeing art from many perspectives.

Upon discovering the amazing art in video games and after playing many mmorpgs, I found my love for fantasy art and character design.

I have worked as a freelance artist, enterered art competitions and won a few prizes and exhibited in some galleries in QLD Australia.

I am currently completing a Bachelor of Writing and Publishing with the hopes of becoming a children’s picture book author/illustrator.

I am constantly driven by inspiration and wild imaginings which means many drawings and lots of practice. This has inspired my series of character design books.

I hope creative artists and student character designers will find these books timesaving and useful in their art practice.

Below I have added some random art I have completed. I am always experimenting, always testing, always having fun with art.

On my first week of school, I was allowed to borrow a picturebook from a little shelf under a window in a very small school.

It was the first time I had ever seen books created solely for children, and they were fully illustrated. I was so excited I scoured the shelf looking for the book that excited me the most. Then I found it, "Where the Wild Things Are," by Maurice Sendak. I couldn’t believe that someone had a job drawing incredible illustrations of monsters for children.

"I knew from that moment that I wanted to write and illustrate children's books."

I have written many children’s fantasy stories since I was five years old. They are all asleep in lots of boxes and containers waiting for one day when I shine the light and see if there is any potential in them.

"There is lots of dodgy writing and drawings in amongst years of ideas."

I have recently completed the illustrations for Julefreden and will be exhibiting in Viborg library in Denmark on the 13th of November to the 23rd of December.

I will also be running workshops at schools and at the Christmas festival in Viborg.

Next year will be a big year. I hope to meet you soon.
